Bring your home movie film in to us, or send us the reels, and we'll clean, lubricate, and splice your film together, and then digitally capture the film. Then we will save the converted digital movies to DVD, or on a USB drive as an .mp4 movie file.
8mm and 16mm home movie film reels are getting harder to play, even if you can find a working projector, so have them transferred and saved on modern media today. Turn-around time is one to two weeks.

8mm, Super 8 and 16mm home movie film converted to DVD or USB drive as an .mp4 file. Each DVD will hold about 1200 feet, and turn around time is 2 weeks. The minimum charge for 8mm and 16mm film conversion orders is $30.00.
TIP: 3" 8mm film reels hold 50 feet, 5" reels hold 200 feet, 6" reels hold 300 feet, and a 7" reel holds 400 feet of film.
Supported movie film formats include: 8mm, Super 8, 8mm Loop Magi-cartridges, and 16mm movie film.

Should I get a DVD or .mp4 digital movie files from my home movie film?
We often have customers ask which is better: DVD or digital movie files (.mp4)? The answer really depends on whether you want to be able to watch the converted movie film on your DVD player, or if watching them on another device is an option for you. DVD players have not been newly manufactured for several years, although Blu-Ray players will play DVD movies. But, with the movie film saved as an .mp4 digital movie file, you will be able to copy and transfer your videos for years to come, without worry.
TIP: We cannot transfer or convert movies that are copyright protected.
